Mr. Hancock's practice is primarily focused on complex civil litigation involving disputes over intellectual property rights with an emphasis on patent infringement, but he has previously represented litigants in areas as diverse as commercial litigation, contractual disputes, blasting litigation and property damage claims, fraud, and personal injury. He routinely represents and assists intellectual property holders with enforcement of their rights in federal courts throughout the United States. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from The University of Alabama in 1998. While a student at UA, he was admitted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After college, he attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2001. He is a member of the Alabama Bar, the Tennessee Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Alabama Association for Justice, and has served on various committees as a member of the Birmingham Bar Association.
