"In intellectual property litigation, it is my job to help enforce and protect my clients’ ideas. This cannot be done without treating your client as a partner in the process."

Douglas Bridges is an attorney in the Atlanta office.  Before coming to Heninger Garrison Davis, he was formerly with Fish & Richardson P.C., as well as a software developer in the telecommunication industry.  Douglas’ practice emphasizes intellectual property litigation, especially patent litigation.  He also represents clients in other complex civil litigation, particularly in the high tech arena. Douglas chose this focus because he saw how the legal system did not know how to deal with high-tech issues, and thought that it would be interesting to help make that change.  Additionally, he observed that almost all of the technologically savvy attorneys were working for large companies, and that individual inventors and smaller companies often were not adequately represented in the legal system. Douglas received his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from The University of Alabama in 1996.  After he completed his undergraduate degree he went on to graduate with honors from Columbia Law School in 2003.  2003.  Douglas is a member of several bar associations, including the Georgia Bar, Patent Bar and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
