Gayle Douglas’ practice primarily focuses on representing clients on personal injury and death cases arising out of product’s liability, negligence or wantonness claims. These claims occur in a variety of different contexts including premises liability, automobile accidents, and medical malpractice. Another significant part of Ms. Douglas’ practice includes pharmaceutical mass tort cases and class action litigation. She represents numerous clients through her work on executive committees in various Multi-District Litigation matters. Gayle is committed to giving back to her community. She currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Teen Court of Jefferson County – a sentencing court for juvenile offenders. She is also a regular volunteer with the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyer’s Program. Gayle has also been named as a 2011 Rising Star by Alabama Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Most recently, the Alabama State Senate passed a Resolution (No. 11-322) recognizing Gayle L. Douglas for her achievement in the legal profession and granting her their highest commendation.
