Maureen Abbey Scorese joined Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC in 2011. Maureen's practice involves primarily patent litigation for plaintiffs in various technical fields including financial services, network security and monitoring systems, and other technological systems. Previously, she was actively involved in defending regional and national banks in the DataTreasury litigations. Over the years, she has developed expertise in analyzing patents, conducting monetization analyses, and implementing enforcement strategies. Maureen has also performed due diligence reviews, and represented clients in patent and trademark proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Maureen has advised clients on managing IP portfolios for national and international protection relating to mechanical engineering, cosmetics and fashion, and medical devices. Maureen also assists the firm’s Mass Tort Group with litigations in New Jersey. Prior to entering the legal profession, Maureen worked as a research scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery at The Graduate Hospital, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, and later at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Maureen left research to pursue her law degree and enter the legal profession in hopes to use her expertise and skills for serving her clients in intellectual property matters. Maureen also volunteers in her local community and with the Focolare.
