"In my experience, the biggest contributing factor to a client’s stress and anxiety is a lack of knowledge and understanding about their rights and the process involved in protecting those rights. One of the first things that I do when I meet with a client for the first time is give them an easy to understand “primer” on intellectual property law. I have found that once a client has a basic understanding of the laws and the rationale behind those laws, their anxiety goes down and they become much more engaged in the process."
