Motor Vehicle Accidents

Heninger Garrison Davis possesses the knowledge, experience, and resources to investigate any car accident to determine who is at fault and seek compensation for those injured in the car crash. In addition to cases involving driver negligence, our firm has successfully litigated numerous cases involving vehicle design defects including vehicle rollover, occupant protection, and fuel system integrity.

Four of our recent cases involving vehicle collisions are:

Steel Coil (Trucking Accident)

We represent the injured driver of an automobile which was struck by an enormous, heavy steel coil that fell from the flatbed of a tractor-trailer truck in Birmingham.  Our attorneys claim on behalf of the injured driver that the trucking company negligently loaded and transported the coil.

After the accident, our attorney Steve Heninger was asked by local news to discuss the hazard involved.  Click this screenshot above  for the interview.

The danger of steel coils falling from trucks has gained attention in recent years due to the large number of such events.  "Since 1987, steel coils have dislodged from flatbed trucks onto Birmingham-area interstates at least 23 times," according to The Birmingham News

Trucking Company Settles Claim Over Driver's Death

The collision in this case occurred when an eighteen-wheel truck ran a stop sign.  The driver of the truck tested positive for the drug methamphetamine.  The victim, Mackmariah Turley, was driving his friend to the doctor at the time of the crash.  Turley lived for one year after the crash before dying from his injuries.  The seven-figure settlement we obtained for the client was reached with the trucking company and the medical entity responsible for drug screening.

Fireman’s Death

This case involving the death of a fireman is pending in the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Alabama.  Our firm represents the fireman's family.

Death Caused by Detached Truck Wheel

This wrongful-death case arose from the death of a truck driver killed by a tire which detached from another truck.  The victim was traveling on the interstate when the tire crashed through his windshield.
