Manufactured by the drug company Pfizer, the drug
was originally approved to treat epilepsy and very
specific types of pain. However, the Pfizer
marketed Neurontin for numerous other conditions,
which are referred to as "off-label" conditions.

Pfizer
recently paid a $430 million fine to settle charges
that included defrauding the Medicaid system. Our attorneys have spoken with

Pfizer has said that when it marketed the drug for
"off-label" uses, it had studies showing that the
drug was effective in treating a variety of medical
conditions. There are no studies to support that
