Neurontin

Neurontin®Heninger Garrison Davis is investigating injuries caused by the drug Neurontin. This medication has been, and continues to be, prescribed to millions of individuals.

Manufactured by the drug company Pfizer, the drug was originally approved to treat epilepsy and very specific types of pain. However, the Pfizer  marketed Neurontin for numerous other conditions, which are referred to as "off-label" conditions.

Neurontin has been prescribed for such "off-label" conditions to include:

  • Depression

  • Bipolar disorder

  • Headaches

  • Attention deficit disorders

  • Epilepsy

Pfizer Paid Millions to Settle for Neurontin

Pfizer recently paid a $430 million fine to settle charges that included defrauding the Medicaid system. Our attorneys have spoken with hundreds of persons who took Neurontin for many of the conditions it was not approved to control. Pfizer has said that when it marketed the drug for "off-label" uses, it had studies showing that the drug was effective in treating a variety of medical conditions. There are no studies to support that assertion. While most of the persons that we have spoken with had no serious side-effects from taking Neurontin, a large number have exhibited serious problems.

Neurontin Behavioral Problems

Many individuals who took Neurontin have experienced severe behavioral problems. These problems include suicidal thoughts and attempts, and very aggressive and hostile behavior. Many people never exhibited those behaviors prior to taking Neurontin, and their lives and those of their families have been adversely affected by their use of this medication.

Neurontin Claims - Experienced Lawyers

We will aggressively pursue claims against the manufacturer of Neurontin on behalf of individuals and families injured by the wrongful marketing of the drug for uses it was never approved for. Heninger Garrison Davis has years of experience in cases of this type against pharmaceutical companies.

Our attorney Bill Bross is evaluating the claims of hundreds of persons who took Neurontin and experienced some of the problems described here. If you or a loved one took Neurontin and were injured, we would like to evaluate your claim at no cost to you.
