Jeff Leonard and Callen Sparrow obtained a $350,000 verdict in a week-long medical negligence case in Walker County against a surgeon that performed a ventral hernia repair. One week later, his patient was discovered to have two holes in his colon with massive abdominal contamination. The patient required a colostomy, which was reversed six months later. At trial, Starnes Davis & Florie defended the surgeon. The jury returned a $350,000 verdict for the patient and his family on November 10, 2014.
