Heninger Garrison Davis is proud to announce that our partner, James A. “Jay” Stewart, has been named President of the Vestavia Hills Board of Education. A lifelong resident of Vestavia Hills and a 1991 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School, Jay’s appointment reflects his deep-rooted commitment to the community and its educational excellence.
Jay brings over two decades of legal experience to his role at HGD, where he specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, and complex civil litigation. His legal acumen is matched by his dedication to public service. Before joining HGD, Jay served as in-house counsel for the Bruno Event Team and the Alabama Sports Foundation, managing legal affairs for major sporting events across the state.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jay has been instrumental in fostering community spirit. He co-founded the Vestavia Hills Sports Hall of Fame and serves on the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee. His leadership extends to his church, Dawson Memorial Baptist, where he and his family are active members.
Jay’s elevation to School Board President underscores his unwavering dedication to the betterment of Vestavia Hills City Schools. His vision and leadership promise a bright future for the students and families of our community.
