Erik Heninger and Drew Haskins recently settled a lawsuit against the Birmingham Board of Education after Board employees negligently failed to process and approve the retirement compensation plans of two Birmingham school teachers. This failure resulted in both teachers’ inability to receive benefits through the school board’s deferred retirement option plan.
