Meet Erik Heninger
Erik is a Birmingham, Alabama trial lawyer who has been practicing for 25 years. Heninger Garrison Davis has been serving clients for 20 years.
His practice centers on single-event cases involving serious incidents, such as commercial vehicle accidents, medical malpractice and sexual abuse claims. He also handles mass torts nationwide, including medical device and pharmaceutical litigation.

Episode 1: Navigating a Traumatic Brain Injury Case
The series kicks off with a case that stayed with Erik long after it closed.
Early in his career, about six or seven years in, a colleague from a rural Alabama county referred a client who had been seriously hurt at work. The man was employed by a ground delivery company and was run over by a box truck backing up at his workplace. This was before reverse warning beepers and backup cameras were standard, so the driver was backing up blind.
The client suffered a traumatic brain injury. Beyond the physical recovery, he struggled with anger, paranoia and strained relationships with his family. On the legal side, Alabama's contributory negligence law created a real hurdle: an injured person can be barred from recovery if found even partially at fault.
