Carson Libby, center, with his parents Aimee and Chad, at his 2024 high school graduation

We are thrilled to announce the winner of the HGD Law Firm college scholarship contest, “A Second Chance: How My Accident Changed My Goals for the Future.” After receiving over 50 entries from talented and inspiring students, Carson Libby’s essay stood out for its authenticity and powerful narrative.

Carson’s journey, detailed in his essay, deeply moved our scholarship committee. His story of resilience and determination in the face of adversity exemplifies the spirit of our scholarship’s mission. Carson’s essay not only captured his personal growth but also showcased his clear vision for the future and his commitment to making a positive impact.

In honor of his outstanding achievement, HGD hosted a Zoom meeting to present Carson with the scholarship award. This allowed our committee to personally congratulate Carson and learn more about his future goals and aspirations.

We are incredibly proud to support Carson in his educational journey and look forward to seeing all he will accomplish in the future. Carson is an incoming freshman at Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, Minnesota.

Please join us in congratulating Carson Libby on this well-deserved recognition!
